Carranzana Sheep Wool

The wool of the Carranzana sheep is distinguished by its robust and shiny texture. With a fiber length of 8 to 12 cm and a fineness ranging between 26 and 35 microns, this semi-fine wool (Type VII-XIX). Despite containing a small amount of hair, which may generate a slight itching sensation in sensitive skin, Carranzana wool is hypoallergenic, making it ideal for skin-friendly products.

This type of wool, along with other Basque wools such as Latxa or Manexa, has been underestimated by the industry. However, at Mutur Beltz we value the authenticity and versatility of Carranzana wool, highlighting its exceptional properties as thermal insulation, its flexibility, resistance to humidity and fire.

Each product we design at Mutur Beltz takes advantage of these natural qualities, offering items that not only have great artisanal value, but are also sustainable and respectful of the environment. We preserve the hair in many of our creations, achieving unique finishes that bring character and personality to each piece.
